Art
Two years ago we changed our Art Curriculum to follow the Kapow Scheme of Work. This has enabled us to develop and monitor the progression of skills across year groups, to learn about a variety of artists, to try a wide variety of techniques and to be consistent in our approach.
Every pupil receives a new sketchbook yearly and we have delivered staff training on the use of sketchbooks. We have moderated the work to see how the skills taught develop through the school. We are pleased and proud of the results, as we can clearly see progression in all areas of Art throughout the year groups. The children really enjoy using the sketchbooks to try out , develop and improve / evaluate their ideas and Art is clearly valued as a subject at our school.
