Jake
Lee was chosen as the representative because of his work in web club last
term and he will go down to London for a week for the Child net academy,
along with a representative of last years web team. The Ecotastic website
was started by the Year 6 web team last year and won the Junior Oxfordshire
category for Best Website and also the overall Silver Challenge Cup. This
year, with the addition of an International section to the site and the
European eco project we have now won an International competition!! |
Here is what they had to say about
our site:
Ecotastic is fantastic!
Ten year old Jake Lee and his friends at Hagbourne School have created this
eco-friendly website to help inform other young people about how they can become
more environmentally aware. The students of Hagbourne School are working with
other European Schools as well as schools in Australia and Africa promoting
energy conservation with the hope that other schools will start to develop their
own energy saving strategies. The project has been built around the motto of
‘becoming a better global citizen’.
